What is Love

Going to a Bridal/Naughty Nightie party tonight. I'm thinking about the meaning of love. She is getting ready to tie herself to a man for the rest of her life. I've been married for 26 years. There have been bumps in the road along the way. They some are simple bumps, but then there are some mountains. When you love someone, anything is possible together. Relationships are HARD, anyone who tells you differently is lying, even good relationships are a struggle. Love, real love, true love is based on friendship, companionship, and trust. Good communication is a must in life long relationships. Love is an emotion, but a long term commitment is more than an emotion. It is reason and faith and perseverance. Yes, the emotion is still there, but it is not shallow. It is a deep pool of strength found in the pair not in the individual. I hope everyone will someday find that kind of love.
